THE DENVER BRONCOS

"Winning Shots is saving us precious time and effort in managing our photos. Before Winning Shots, our team based photos were stored on CD’s and individual computers with minimal searching capabilities making it difficult to meet photo requests. Now, we use Winning Shots on a daily basis to centrally and securely store, manage, and distribute all of our team photos and we are much more effective at meeting media, player, and key personnel’s photo requests.  Winning Shots is the best." – Annie Harmon - Former Graphic Designer - The Denver Broncos Football Club
The Denver Broncos were receiving photos from their photographers via physical CD or DVD media after every game or special event. Photos were stored on CD, various people's desktops, and multiple shared servers. When members of the media or a players called, they had to search in many places to ensure they were looking at their entire population of photos. If they were out of the office, they had to come into the office. The Bronco's have had nothing in the way of disaster recovery and this was a key consideration for moving to a hosted, off-site, solution like Winning Shots.

On average, Bronco's personnel were spending 30-60 minutes per request to find what they thought met the requestors needs. They were sending on average 10 pictures to meet one request. They gave up control of images needlessly because their indexing and distribution security processes were in need of improvement . In addition, the Bronco's were giving up control because they did not have the capability to send low-res and were sending "extra" photos in many e-mails due to file size or having to take time to burn a CD.

The Bronco's were finding the "hunt-n-peck" method was not meeting their requestor's needs and timelines. They found they needed 20+ key words to adequately describe their photos. "Jubilation", "victorious", "frustration", etc. are just a few examples of the increased capabilities the Bronco's received with the Winning Shots solution.

Lastly, the Bronco's had no ability to set up different user based security for the management of their images. Either you had access or you didn't. With Winning Shots, the Bronco's now have total control of who has access to what images and if they have rights to distribute or download the images and in what resolution.

CASTLE VIEW HIGH SCHOOL

"The internet accessible archive created by Winning Shots for our football program is incredible. In prior years, we had difficulty getting our quality photos out to all 100 of our athletes. The Winning Shots site allows all of our players, families, and coaches to easily view and search for photos by players or games. Everyone is able to easily download the best shots without having to get any new software. Our players and parents love it, and this coach doesn't have to worry about a thing." Ryan Hollingshead – Head Football Coach - Castle View High School
The Castle View Sabercats had no consistent way to receive the various photos taken during games. The photo management process was very much ad-hoc with various photographers using whatever photo management methods they had available to them. These methods varied from free photo-sharing web sites to mass e-mails to physical distribution of CD or DVD media. Players and their families had no way to search for photos that were of specific interest to them. The searching process was informal and word-of mouth.

By using the Winning Shots solution, all photographers send their photos to the Sabercats' librarian who indexes and uploads the images. All the players have access to perform "Smart Searches" and may download any of the images for their personal use. The hosted environment of Winning Shots provides a level of centralization and disaster recovery the Sabercats have never experienced.
